The purpose of this course is to help the students acquire basic welding skills on light gauge metals and other materials used in the automobile industry by using oxyacetylene welding, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and plastic welding. It is a hands-on, self-pacedlearning environment to learn basic welding skills and safewelding practices.
